The FATF plans to hold annual checks to confirm countries are enforcing AML and terrorist rules concerning digital assets.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s their plan of action?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FATF task force used to run on a ten-year cycle of mutual evaluations, but will now require countries protected by the FATF to display annually that they comply with Anti-Money Laundering(AML).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"724\" src=\"https:\/\/truthtechnologies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-1024x724.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3003 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/truthtechnologies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-1024x724.png 1024w, https:\/\/truthtechnologies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-300x212.png 300w, https:\/\/truthtechnologies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-768x543.png 768w, https:\/\/truthtechnologies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-1536x1086.png 1536w, https:\/\/truthtechnologies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image.png 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What if Countries don\u2019t comply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If countries chose to not follow these guidelines they will be added to a \u2018grey list\u2019 of countries \u201cunder increasing monitoring\u201d. The \u2018grey list\u2019 includes 23 countries, including Cambodia, Haiti, and Yemen. Countries that are blacklisted are not catastrophic but will need enhanced due diligence from global institutions such as Truth Technologies and increased Know Your Client (KYC).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What if Companies don\u2019t comply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FATF can call on international financial institutions to pause their involvement in, and association with, offending countries and drive governments to apply financial sanctions if the country is downgraded from the &#8220;grey list&#8221; to the &#8220;black list&#8221; or a &#8220;high-risk&#8221; entity.
